Opening of Vacheron Constantin First Tokyo Boutique of Luxury Watches

Vacheron Constantin First Tokyo Boutique of Luxury Watches

In early December, Vacheron Constantin opened its first boutique in Japan, located right in the middle of the famous Tokyo’s district, Ginza – a Mecca for elite shopping. To be more exact, it is located at Chuo Street, the main shopping artery of this district. Thereby, Vacheron has joined to a number of other Swiss luxury watch brands to ensure the retail presence in this fashionable shopping area.

Boutique consists of two levels and provides a special after-sales service at the watchmaker’s station on the ground floor. It occupies 140m2 and is decorated in the same style as the other brand’s boutiques worldwide. Moreover, except the dedicated watchmaker, Vacheron Constantin will also offer its customers the Ateliers Cabinotiers service that will allow them to make orders for the creation of truly unique designer watches from scratch. The Tokyo boutique will contain all brand’s collections including special editions as exclusives for this store. Three of them have already been presented: the Traditionnelle, Traditionelle 14-Day Tourbillon and Overseas Dual Time high-end watches. All these models have special “Limited Edition Tokyo” inscription.

The Traditionelle Tokyo Boutique luxury watch will be presented in a limited edition of just 20 copies. It is probably the most elegant timepiece of these three models. Its case made of 18 karat rose gold has an ideal size: 38mm in diameter and 7.77mm in thickness. The black dial with radiant hand-made guilloche pattern is inspired by the Japanese “Rising Sun”. The model is equipped with an in-house hand-winding 4400AS caliber that consists of 127 parts and has 65-hour power reserve. Its retail price will be about $22,000.

The Overseas Dual Time fine watch will be also available in a limited edition of 100 copies. This sports model features a 42mm barrel-shaped stainless steel case with a rounded bezel resembling a Maltese cross – the Vacheron Constantin logo. Its black dial contains a date display, an alternative 12-hour sub-dial at 6 o’clock next to the day/night indicator, and also a power reserve indicator. This Swiss watch is powered by an automatic 1222 SC caliber composed of 153 parts with 40-hour power reserve. The Overseas Dual Time model will retail at $25,500.

The Traditionelle 14-Day Tourbillon model will be presented in a limited edition of only 3 copies. It runs in an in-house Vacheron Constantin 2260 caliber with stunning 336 hours of power reserve. In total, this mechanism includes 231 parts set on two bridges with Côtes de Genève finishing. Its black dial with guilloche pattern contains a power reserve indicator located at 12 o’clock that covers 280º in order to provide a 14-day cycle. Opposite the indicator, you can see a tourbillon, which is equipped with additional seconds hand. This timepiece comes in an 18 karat rose gold case that measures 42mm in diameter and 12.22mm in thickness. The retail price for this luxury watch will be approximately $271,600.
